Sacred Cacao Ceremony at the Enchanted Forest

My husband, me, Jessica Marie and Eddie Hinsley all attended a sacred cacao ceremony facilitated by Jose Munoz and the Enchanted Forest in Phoenix, Arizona.  We came together under a March 21st, 2019 in honor of Spring Equinox and Full moon. Here are some of the pictures.

Cacao is a plant medicine that chocolate is derived from. This ceremony is said to activate your heart chakra. We were there for cleansing before the next days festivities at the Dreamcatcher activation portal. I feel that we got a confirmation of the galactivations of the rainbow body of light. The message was seen in the skies.

This mystical and eco friendly environment was the perfect setting for bringing community together around the fire. We were saged and cleansed before entering the circle and signed formalities that we wouldn’t sue the owners if we fell into the fire.

An altar was set up on a blanket for attendees to set a sacred item for the ceremony. Drums and lots of wisdom and sharing was part of the event.

Wearing traditional equinox flower crowns for spring equinox. We represented the ancient custom of wearing flowers in our hair to signify that spring has come.

Ancient Mayan Cacao

Cacao was cultivated by Mayas more than 2,500 years ago and it was called “Ku-Ku”. Ku in Mayan Language means Sacred and Ku-Ku “above sacred”. Aztecs learned from Mayas how to cultivate and prepare it, they called Cacao “Cacahuatl” and the bitter drink that they obtained from his fruits “Xocolatl”. This drink was consumed just by Emperor and Nobility and is called Kakaw in Mayan Language that means “Drink of the Gods”.

We prepare Cacao through a Special Ancestral Mayan Recipe, that we received from a Jose’s Mayan Family in Chiapas, a 600 years old Recipe, used in Pre-hispanic or Nahuatl Times (before Spanish Invasion).

Typically the Seeds are prepared to extract the nibs for 7 days. During the process they peel seeds one by one (we need approximately 7 hours and 6 hands to peel Cacao for 20 people), everything is completely hand made. With the process that we follow we transform Cacao into medicinal and ceremonial Cacao, that has up to 90% more properties than Chocolate you will find at the Store.

In this picture you can see on the right a mayan glyph, that explains the process of medicinal Cacao and his sacred preparation. While we prepare Cacao we need to be relaxed, to send Good Thoughts to the Seeds and to sing some native Songs that will potentialize  his properties.

According to Mayan Elders and Archeologists, Spirit of Cacao is one of the most powerful Deities of Mayan Cosmology. With the Spirit of Cacao we can travel towards our Innerself where our Wisdom and Love live. This ceremony is oriented to reconnect with Beauty, Sweetness and Love in ourselves. Cacao Goddess – Xochiquetzal will be our magic companion that will invite us to open the Heart Door: it is up to us and our level of consciousness if we will be able to cross the Door.

Cacao stimulates our Pituitary gland, that is located in our sphenoid bone in our Brain; it is the principal gland of the body, as it rules many activities of the Endocrine Glands, which secrete substances called hormones that regulate body functions. Pituitary gland will be stimulated due to high content of Theobramine that contains Ceremonial and Medicinal Cacao.
