Mantra/Vision: After a feast much uneaten food remains on the plates. Something has ended. It is a memory. And what happened cannot be reconstructed. Something else shall follow, but it will be in a very different vein. Irrationally, persistently, the traces remain and there is regret, there is loss, there is grief. The magnitude of destiny overshadows cycles lived in its afterglow. The power is elsewhere. Vital forces have been spent. And in the melancholy mood of looking back so much is missed, passed over, not deemed important. Yet truly, it is what you learn afterwards that counts. And it is the inward reverberations that mean everything to the secret soul.
Invocation to Mars
Mars, warrior god, Fire that leaps
And dances, Protector of cities
And of this house, and our spirits,
Courageous one, mirror us back
Some of your courage.
Fearless one, show us a path
Through our many fears.
Armored one, give us protection
From all who would harm us.
And may your sword turn away
All danger from our flesh,
Our bones, our house, our home,
Our hearth and our hearts
Our eyes and our spirits.
Protect us from destruction and ruin,
O fiery god of the shining spear.
We hail you, eternal warrior,
And ask that you grant us
Some small measure
Of your boundless fiery heart.
Chant: (To be accompanied by drums and people clashing blades against shields in the manner of the Salii of ancient times)
Gloria Martial! Gloria Martial! Gloria Martial!
Honoria et Gloria Honoria et Gloria!
(A libation of red wine is poured out for Mars. One person lifts the horn and winds it, long and slow, five times, and the rite is ended.)

Meditation for Day 8
Our Lady Undoer of Knots
Meditating Mother, Queen of heaven, in whose hands the treasures of the King are found, turn your merciful eyes upon me today. I entrust into your holy hands this knot in my life…and all the rancor and resentment it has caused in me. Purge me from this uncleanliness. All Father Ascend. Help me now to forgive all the persons who consciously or unconsciously provoked this knot. Give me, also, the grace to forgive me for having provoked this knot. Only in this way can You undo it. Before You, dearest Mother, I come in the name of MY Salvation, having been granted forgiveness, I now forgive these persons…and myself, forever. Thank you, Ishtar, Undoer of Knots for undoing the knot of rancor in my heart and the knot which I now present to you.
Dearest Holy Honoria, Mother of Peace, Pallas Athena, overflowing with mercy, have mercy on your child and undo this knot…in my life. I need your visit to my life. Holy Virgin Minerva, bring me my salvation bring me the Holy Spirit. Teach me to practice the virtues of courage, joyfulness, humility and faith, and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Make me joyfully rest on your bosom, Honoria. I consecrate you as my mother, Queen and friend. I give you my heart and everything I have (my home and family, my material and spiritual goods.) I am yours forever. Put your heart in me so that I can do everything My Spirit tells me.
Honoria, Undoer of Knots, pray for me.
Let us go, therefore, full of trust, to the throne of grace.
PRAYER TO HONORIA (HOLY MOTHER), UNDOER OF KNOTS (Closing Prayer)
Holy Maiden, Undoer of Knots, pray through me
Pure Maiden, White Queen (Queen of Heaven), Mother of fair love (Aphrodite), Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of a child in need, Mother whose hands never cease to serve your Beloved because they are moved by the Divine Love and immense Mercy that exists in your heart. Cast your compassionate eyes upon me and see the snarl of knots that exist in my life.
Great Knower, You know very well my desperation. I am, my pain and how I am bound by these knots. I want it removed from me. Ishtar, All-Holy Mother who descended from the All-Father, and is entrusted with the undoing of the knots in the lives of Your Holy Children. I entrust into your hands the ribbon of my life. No one, not even the evil one, can take it away from your precious care. In your hands there is no knot that cannot be undone.
Powerful Mother, by your grace and intercessory powered by the birth of the Sun, the Light, and My Liberator, take into your hands today this knot…I beg you to undo it for the Glory (Hod/Mercury) of God, once for all, You are my only hope. Lock it in Her box.
O my Lady, you are the only consolation given to me. The fortification (fornication) of the my feeble (humble) strength, the enrichment of my destitution and with the freedom from my chains. Hear my plea O Divine Mother. Keep me, guide me, protect me, O safe refuge! All-Holy Mother, Undoer of Knots and entanglements, Pray through me (Rise in me).
Honor – Pallas Athena – Minerva
“The Sovereign of Sun and Sacrifice,” Lawful Good
Dol Arrah is the light, not only of the sun, but of the best aspects of the mortal soul. She is the goddess of honor, forthrightness, and self-sacrifice. Many Vassals see her as no less vital to civilization than Aureon and Boldrei, and they believe that when the mortal races accept this truth, the world will become much brighter. Dol Arrah is the patron of paladins, diplomats, all who seek justice, and warriors who fight with wisdom and honor as much as with weapons. To a lesser extent, she is also the patron of explorers, who bring the light of knowledge to dark places, and to all who revere the sun. She aids Arawai by lighting her way during the growing season.
Portfolio: Honor, sacrifice, light, the sun, diplomacy.
Domains: Light, War
Priest Training: Dol Arrah’s priests must have the highest integrity. Many were warriors, diplomats, or law officers before becoming priests. In all cases, they are people of sterling reputation.
Quests: Dol Arrah’s priests quest to bring peace to warring factions, to expose deceptions, to aid soldiers fighting for justice, and to defend the helpless against invaders.
Prayers and Rites: Dol Arrah does not require specific items for sacrifice, so long as they have true meaning to the petitioner.
Shrines: Dol Arrah’s shrines have large east-facing windows, to let in the light of the dawn. They are normally stone and are easily defensible, though not as fortress-like as those of her brother Dol Dorn.
Favored Weapon: Halberd.
Holy Symbol: A rising sun, or the Octogram in bright yellow-gold and white, representing light and purity.
Tarot Card of the Day: THE SUN.

Tree of life: The axis Hod – Yesod
Number: 19 as a higher level of 9, the cross sum is 10 (> Wheel of Fortune > The Magician)
The Sun is the symbol of life and light, for the power that always is generously given without reducing itself.
The Sun will shine and give light to the earth to make all life possible. So the Sun stands for vitality and optimism, the blossoming of our nature, and is a sign that we have overcome the time of darkness and are ready to enjoy the light.
But the Sun also has its negative aspects. Never forget that without the depth of water, the sun will create a desert.
Drive: Aiming at the light, living for generous, unconditional principles
Light: Vitality, generosity, warmth, selfconfidence
Shadow: Selfcomplacancy, dazzling, promising much and doing nothing
